The Weekend Service trip will be from Friday, Mar. 28 to Sunday, Mar. 30 and will cost $99, which includes EVERYTHING--food while on the reservation, transportation, project materials, and more!  Total Trip Fee is due on Wednesday, March 12, and a $50 Trip deposit may hold your trip spot until that date.  The max capacity for the trip is currently 20.  We are currently FULL and are accepting WAIT LIST applications.  Typically, we have a a few people that can't make the trip...

This just in - we have recently won a $2000 grant for a student organic garden project at Greyhills Academy in Tuba City! A very special thanks to Richard Pauloo for submitting and almost entirely assembling this grant.

The mission of this grant is to create a sustainable summer gardening program at Greyhills Academy in Tuba City, Arizona in order to provide opportunities and experiences for high school Navajo youth that will empower, educate, and inspire them to resist drugs and violence...

We are excited to announce that Project Pueblo UCB has won the 2011 Outstanding Student Organization Oski Award from UC Berkeley! This is quite an accomplishment, as only the top 3-5 student organizations that are nominated each year end up winning this award. Congratulations to Channchi Chau, Jenhi Garcia, Melissa Jullig, Dixon Li, Jeff Nagata, and Aria Pakatchi for winning 3rd place in the Big Ideas Competition for Social Justice! They received $4500 in grant money in care of Project Pueblo! Great work!!! There is still a chance too that they might win some more money - let's pray and hope they do!

The 14 hour car ride was totally worth it.  Pushing myself out of the looming 'Berkeley Bubble,' I was excited to sign up for a trip that would be a glimpse into peoples' lives that I've only read about in books; their experiences the subjects of numerous 'Environment and Society' lectures.  I wanted to see with my own eyes and meet the people behind these texts and sermons, and Project Pueblo gave me the opportunity to do just that.  I see this first visit as really only experiencing...

I just got the word today from the IRS that our application was fully approved! They actually did it in less than 2 months, a record for this type of thing (everyone was telling me it takes 6-12 months). We thank you for all your prayers and support!

We can now take donations and issue tax-deductible receipts without going through our campus club, and we are now eligible for most types of grants. We will also be exempt from sales tax, federal income tax, and state income tax.
